CAREFUL NOW

Shortly before Andy and I played our first show together I wrote a 1 minute tune and recorded it with DOLDRUMS. The dream is to one day be able to play it live, but it was written on a $3 Salvation Army casio keyboard that has since been retired after coming in excessive contact with some lively Parkdale bedbugs. Unfortunately, the song is nearly impossible to play on guitar without comprimising the mood or reworking the structure utterly!

So instead of putting it on the album (which would be just as bad as lying to your face and spitting in your food) or letting it rot on my iTunes, I thought it would be nice to post it here.

I present the runt of the litter, CAREFUL NOW

Love Is A Place

We went into hibernation for a month. We practiced a bunch and recorded our very first album (more on that soon!) While all that was happening, we were fortunate enough to be included on the Neighborhood Mixtape! As the blog states, "The Neighbourhood Mixtape is a collection of newly-released songs by Toronto musicians. The mixtape is meant to celebrate Toronto's music culture and provide a forum to listen to and discover new local music." Awesome.

We were part of a valentines edition of sorts and the other songs featured are really really sweet and we were very happy to be part of it. If you want to check it out, here's the link

Stay tuned, we're going to start posting music soon!

Here It Comes

I like making these adhoc videos. I'm going to enjoy doing it until we find the money/time/cleverness to make real music videos and/or until someone sues me. In fact, one might argue that I chose this video in hopes that one of the stars WOULD sue me. Grade. A. Beefcake.

I don't mean to get all "El Perro Del Mar" on your asses, but the video seems to go with the music so well I couldn't resist.

Anyway, without much further ado, live from the Great Hall this past summer, courtesy of the brilliant Mechanical Forest Sound, we give you "Here It Comes"
